Description
Remedy Action Request System (REMEDY) is the ticket tracking system for DFAS. The application is used for Payroll adjustments, document management and tracking, case management, and as a helpdesk ticketing and tracking system. Remedy is a BMC Vendor Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) package. The version of Remedy that DFAS uses is considered custom Remedy. The system is highly configurable to match any screen/workflow that is needed. The three largest user groups for the Remedy system are DFAS Civilian Payroll in Indianapolis and Cleveland, and Desktop Management Initiative (DMI) (problem tracking). The Performance Issue Tracking Schema (PITS) is used by DFAS System Managers to send out application disruption and outage notifications to DFAS management and end users. Remedy is used by DFAS, non-DFAS. DoD. and non-DoD users.
