The Online 5081 (OL5081) replaced the paper Form 5081, Information System User Registration/Change Request. The application streamlines the request process for adding, deleting, modifying and password resets for authorized IRS employees, contractors and other authorized customers as users on IRS application(s)/system(s). Users access the OL5081 application via a web site on the IRS Intranet. The user is identified by their Standard Employee Identifier (SEID), which is received from the authoritative source, CADS. OL5081 has a secure interface with external systems and has automated processes that interface with selected internal IRS systems. The user base for OL5081 is greater than 80,000. The application does not collect and/or process taxpayer information.
