Description
The Administrative Financial System (AFS) is a major web-based system for financial tracking, reporting, budget formulation, budget execution, and executive level reporting. AFS is used to plan, allocate, and track financial resources required to effectively manage physical assets including facilities, monuments, tourist attractions, visitor centers, and campsites in more than 500 parks and offices throughout the National Park Service (NPS). AFS increases the speed and efficiency of decision-making within the NPS and leverages Oracle based products. AFS is an application developed using the Oracle Forms and Reports products and is comprised of roughly 250 Forms and Reports. Customers depend on AFS to perform their daily mission across the NPS.. AFS has a Commitment Control Register and a Charge Card Log as well as a UDO module. AFS provides a 5-year projection of budget shortfalls in terms of dollars and FTE.
