Description
The Medicare Integrated System Testing (MIST) investment is the designated Beta and system modernization tester for the operations for the Fiscal Intermediary Shared System (FISS), the Multi Carrier System (MCS), the ViPS Medicare System (VMS), and the Common Working File (CWF). The MIST is the integrated tester and is fully responsible for testing the systems' functionality for all releases (quarterly, off-quarterly and emergency) for the FFS shared systems pertaining to claims adjudication, payments, remittance advices, Medicare Summary Notices (MSN), and various system interfaces outside of the SSMs. The primary goal of the MIST is to identify system issues for resolution before a release is promoted to production.
