Investment Detail
The World Trade Center Health Program, as authorized through the James Zadroga Health and Compensation Act of 2010 and as re-authorized in 2015, operates as a federally mandated health care program with specific requirements delineated that assure good stewardship of the taxpayer dollars by awarding contracts, cooperative agreements and grants to recipients that help the Program meet these goals. These include but are not limited to the following: timely access to care for program members; appropriate monitoring, diagnostic and treatment for WTCHP members and their certified conditions; appropriate and timely payment of claims for authorized care within the Federal Employees Compensation Act fee schedule, or other approved rates as defined by the Administrator; and the development of improved policies and procedures around care through surveillance, research and continuous review.
The WTCHP system protects WTCHP information for medical coverage to the responders and survivors. System is used as a central data repository to meet FISMA and HIPAA requirements. Data maintained in the system is used for analysis and to make data driven risk-based decisions
