Apr 2015: The Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, Massachusetts, has been awarded a $3,061,852,854 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for the operation of the Lincoln Laboratory Federally Funded Research and Development Center. Contractor will apply advanced technology to problems of national security. Research and development activities focus on long-term technology development as well as rapid system prototyping and demonstration. Work will be performed in Lexington, Massachusetts, and is expected to be complete by March 31, 2020. This award is the result of a sole-source acquisition. Fiscal 2015 operations and maintenance funds in the amount of $600,000 are being obligated at the time of award.
