NJ TRANSIT IS REQUESTING FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $20046548 FOR FY2019 SECTION 5339 FORMULA BUS AND BUS FACILITIES PROGRAM. FUNDS WILL SUPPORT THE MIDLIFE BUS OVERHAUL OF 200 40FT BUSES FROM NORTH AMERICAN BUS INDUSTRY (NABI). GENERAL FUNDS ($14412628) TRUST FUNDS ($2133920) AND STATE/TERRITORY ALLOCATION ($3500000) WILL BE USED IN THIS GRANT. ACTIVITIES TO BE PERFORMED: FUNDS WILL PROVIDE NJ TRANSIT BUS OPERATION WILL PERFORM A MID-LIFE REHABILITATION CAMPAIGN ON 200 40FT NABI TRANSIT STYLE BUSES PURCHASED IN 2012 2013. NJ TRANSIT WILL BE UTILIZING IN-HOUSE LABOR AT THE CENTRAL MAINTENANCE FACILITY LOCATED AT 601 DOREMUS AVENUE NEWARK NJ 07105. EXPECTED OUTCOMES:NJ TRANSIT NABI OVERHAULS WILL PROVIDE ENHANCED APPEARANCE RELIABILITY AND PASSENGER COMFORT BY PERFORMING ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT MANUFACTURERS RECOMMENDED REHABILITATION PROCEDURES AND SPECIFICATIONS. ALL REPLACEMENT COMPONENTS WILL BE OEM-APPROVED.INTENDED BENEFICIARIES: RESIDENTS OF NEW JERSEY AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC UTILIZING THE NJ TRANSIT PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM THROUGHOUT NEW JERSEY NEW YORK CITY PHILADELPHIA AND SURROUNDING STATES AND METROPOLITAN AREAS.SUBRECIPIENT ACTIVITIES:THERE ARE NO SUBRECIPIENTS.
