Project Grant
Overview
Grant Description
Congressional Directive Spending Project Grant - Provide Mental Health Services - for Ashley Addiction Treatment Center.
In Cecil County, Maryland, there is a lack of accessible mental health services, particularly for those that utilize Medicaid. Patients with comorbid substance use disorder and mental health disorders are at particular risk, as services to treat those patients are even less available and their treatment is more complex.
Ashley Addiction Treatment has provided outpatient treatment for substance use disorders in Elkton, Maryland (Cecil County) for over five years but has been unable to provide additional mental health services due to financial constraints.
The planned program will not only provide treatment for those dual diagnosis patients that participate in Ashley's outpatient program but will also serve the community at large to increase accessibility to much-needed mental health care.
