Overview
Grant Description
The purpose of this project is to (1) patrol the full extent and boundaries of Way Kambas National Park (WKNP) and monitor rhinos and other threatened species. (2) Curtail illegal hunting and trapping of wildlife in WKNP. (3) Improve patrolling and law enforcement effectiveness in WKNP. (4) Maintain previously planted 60 hectares and replant 90 hectares of degraded land with rhino food plants. And (5) partner with park staff and local communities to prevent further encroachment and habitat degradation in WKNP.
