Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL): Lithium metal anode for advanced batteries
The objective of the project is to retrofit a domestic manufacturing facility to produce commercial quantities of lithium metal anode (LMA) for next generation lithium-ion batteries.
The facility is expected to have the capacity to produce up to 50 metric tons per annum (MTA) of lithium metal anode for downstream solid-state battery (SSB) cell manufacturing facilities supporting the light and non-light duty transportation sectors.
