Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) Solvay Battery-Grade PVDF Manufacturing Facility.
The objective of the project is to design, construct, and operate a new polyvinylidene difluoride (PVDF) production facility at an existing recipient facility. The PVDF product will be of an appropriate grade for the electric vehicle (EV) and stationary energy storage markets.

THE GOALS OF THIS FUNDING OPPORTUNITY ANNOUNCEMENT ARE TO FUND INVESTMENTS WITHIN THE ELECTRIC VEHICLE BATTERY SUPPLY CHAIN, INCREASE DOMESTIC BATTERY MANUFACTURING, AND CREATE GOOD-PAYING CLEAN ENERGY JOBS. THE OVERALL SCOPE IN THIS FOA INCLUDES DEMONSTRATION AND COMMERCIAL FACILITIES FOR BATTERY-GRADE PRECURSOR MATERIALS, BATTERY COMPONENTS, AND CELL MANUFACTURING AND RECYCLING.
