Cooperative Agreement

Overview

Grant Description
The 20th Annual SAFSF Forum (to be held June 20-22, 2022 in Kansas City, Missouri), provides a unique opportunity for the federal agency to engage with sustainable agriculture and food systems funders and encourage strategic partnerships to support the development of local and regional food systems.

The federal agency will sponsor this forum that the Cooperator is organizing in order to highlight the USDA's commitment to food systems transformation, the federal agency's programs and services in support of local and regional food systems, and foster partnerships with private food systems funders.

SAFSF amplifies the impact of philanthropic and investment communities in support of just and sustainable food and agriculture systems, and the SAFSF Forum is for and by funders supporting just and sustainable food systems change.

The forum challenges participants to understand the need for grantmakers and investors to take on risks in order to co-create more resilient, sustainable, and equitable food systems - and at the same time, provides space to cultivate connections with peers so that no one organization is going it alone.
