Project Grant
Overview
Grant Description
The Burns Paiute Tribe seeks to determine how to best utilize our 21 acre old camp property to gain maximum economic impact from development on that site.
This property is located just off Highway 20 on W Monroe Street, on the edge of Burns, Oregon. The city of Burns is uniquely positioned at the intersection of Highway 20 which runs east west connecting the Oregon coast to Boise, Idaho and Highway 395 which runs north south connecting Washington and California Nevada.
The old camp location presents an opportunity for our tribe to develop a powerful new economic engine for our tribe by building one or more businesses at the site. Possibilities may include, but not be limited to, expanding or upgrading the existing RV park, constructing a datacenter, opening a destination restaurant or retail location, or establishing an industrial or manufacturing operation.
The proposed NABDI funded study will allow us to hire an expert consultant to evaluate the site and provide recommendations for its highest and best use, as well as to deliver an actionable business plan for us to follow in implementing their findings.
