Grant Description
Purpose: The purpose of this award is to provide manufacturing extension services to primarily small and medium-sized manufacturers in the state of South Carolina.
Activities to be performed: Through its collaborations at the federal, state, and local level, the center will work with manufacturers in the areas of cyber security, workforce development, supply chain, information technology, and training. The center will conduct competitiveness review assessments and offer classroom-based and web-based trainings such as strategic sourcing, cybersecurity, additive manufacturing, and project management.
Expected outcomes: Provide U.S. manufacturers in the state of South Carolina access to resources to increase profitability, through new processes, services, customers, and markets. The center will also help South Carolina manufacturers remain competitive.
Intended beneficiaries: Small and medium-sized manufacturers in the state of South Carolina.
Subrecipient activities: The recipient does not intend to subaward funds.
