Purpose: The purpose of this grant is to implement the Georgia Digital Equity Plan developed pursuant to the State Digital Equity Planning Grant Program.

Activities to be performed: These four initiatives address the needs of targeted populations and lay a solid foundation for Georgia's digital equity efforts: digital skills, device ecosystem, data and building local capacity, targeted outreach.

Expected outcomes: The proposed projects will result in narrowing the digital divide, improved access to digital resources, and increase accessibility and impact initiatives for community development.

Intended beneficiaries: Residents of the State of Georgia and principally unserved and underserved covered populations statewide.

Subrecipient activities: The recipient does plan to subaward funds. The purpose is for implementing the DE Plan activities.

TO PROVIDE FUNDS TO STATES AND U.S. TERRITORIES TO IMPLEMENT THE STATE DIGITAL EQUITY PLANS DEVELOPED PURSUANT TO THE STATE DIGITAL EQUITY PLANNING GRANT PROGRAM. THE STATE DIGITAL EQUITY CAPACITY GRANT PROGRAM NOFO ALSO ESTABLISHES A COMPETITIVE PROGRAM TO MAKE BOTH STATE DIGITAL EQUITY PLANNING GRANT PROGRAM FUNDS AND STATE DIGITAL EQUITY CAPACITY GRANT PROGRAM FUNDS AVAILABLE TO NATIVE ENTITIES TO CARRY OUT DIGITAL EQUITY AND INCLUSION ACTIVITIES CONSISTENT WITH THE DIGITAL EQUITY ACT.
