Project Grant
Overview
Grant Description
This EDA investment supports Scotts Valley Band of Pomo Indians with jumpstarting the tribe's renewable energy industry through development of a sustainable fuel processing facility in Kelseyville, California. The project will support site work and equipment procurement for a new woody biomass processing facility that will be used to transform locally-sourced, low-value biomass into firewood, pellet-based fuels, and other bioenergy products. Once completed, the project will support the growth of existing businesses and workforce development, bolster job creation, attract private investment, and advance economic resiliency throughout the region.
