The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (WDNR) will purchase 84 acres of contiguous habitat on Chambers Island. This will preserve an important ecosystem, hemlock mesic forest and wetlands.
Preserving these ecosystems protects the water quality in Green Bay/Lake Michigan; the wildlife; and the fisheries in Northern Door County, Wisconsin.
