The U.S. Embassy Abuja, Public Diplomacy Section of the U.S. Department of State is pleased to announce an open competition for organizations to submit applications to carry out programs that align with U.S. mission goals in Nigeria. Please follow all instructions below.

Priority Region: Northern Nigeria Region with the following states as priority:

Adamawa, Jigawa, Katsina, Kebbi, Kogi, Kwara, Niger, Taraba, Yobe, Sokoto and Zamfara

Program Objectives:

The Public Diplomacy Section invites proposals for programs that strengthen ties between the U.S. and Nigeria, highlights shared values and promotes bilateral cooperation. All programs must include an American cultural element, or connection with American expert/s, organization/s, or institution/s in a specific field that will promote increased understanding of U.S. policy and perspectives.

The program objectives include strengthening ties between the U.S. and Nigeria, highlighting shared values, promoting bilateral cooperation, and focusing on specific regions and priority areas within Nigeria.

Grant Details
The Public Diplomacy Section invites proposals for programs that will focus on women, girls, and youth empowerment; good governance advocacy; quality education; entrepreneurship and innovation; environment/climate change; and conflict prevention and resolution. The length of the performance period is 12 to 24 months with awards ranging from a minimum of $5,000 to a maximum of $50,000. The total available funding is $400,000 with an anticipated program start date in June 2024.

Eligibility Requirements
Eligible applicants include not-for-profit organizations, including think tanks and civil society/non-governmental organizations; public and private educational institutions; public international organizations; and governmental institutions. For-profit or commercial entities are not eligible to apply. Cost sharing or matching is not required. All organizations must have a Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) number issued via www.SAM.gov as well as a valid registration on www.SAM.gov.

Period of Performance
The length of the performance period is 12 to 24 months with awards ranging from a minimum of $5,000 to a maximum of $50,000.

The total available funding is $400,000 with an anticipated program start date in June 2024.
