United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is seeking applications for a Cooperative Agreement from qualified entities to implement the Tajikistan Tuberculosis (TB) Bilateral Activity. Eligibility for this award is not restricted.

The purpose of this Activity would be to reduce the burden of TB in Tajikistan by improving the existing leadership, management, financing, and technical capacities of health institutions, communities, and civil society to reach high-risk groups to detect, successfully treat and prevent all forms of TB.

Background
The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is seeking applications for a Cooperative Agreement from qualified entities to implement the Tajikistan Tuberculosis (TB) Bilateral Activity. The purpose of this Activity would be to reduce the burden of TB in Tajikistan by improving the existing leadership, management, financing, and technical capacities of health institutions, communities, and civil society to reach high-risk groups to detect, successfully treat and prevent all forms of TB.

Grant Details
The New TB Activity’s theory of change is centered around cross-sectoral change to address root causes and key barriers to eliminating tuberculosis by creating an ecosystem of strengths and opportunities for Tajikistan. The activity will coordinate and align with USAID’s new TB business model, the “Global Accelerator to End Tuberculosis,” which was announced by USAID Administrator Mark Green at the High-level Meeting on TB of the United Nations General Assembly in New York in September 2018. The Activity’s goals and objectives fall into the IR 3.3. “Improve the quality of Tajikistan’s health, education, and social services so that citizens may achieve their full human development potential and contribute to Tajikistan’s social and economic growth” under the Mission DO 3 “Increase regional connectivity, broad-based economic prosperity, and human development in Tajikistan to promote competitiveness, energy and water security, and improved livelihoods” as per Results Framework of the Integrated Country Strategy of 2018-2021.
