Pioneering Aerospace Capabilities, Engineering and Research (PACER)

Background
The Pioneering Aerospace Capabilities, Engineering and Research (PACER) grant is issued by the Air Force Research Laboratory, Aerospace Systems Directorate, AFRL/RQ. The grant aims to enable study efforts on novel concepts and research and development efforts to mature specific technologies to appropriate technology readiness levels (TRL) for the warfighter’s decisive advantage.

The grant also includes deliverable items such as scientific and technical reports, funds and man-hour expenditure report, contractor spend and expenditure plan, contract funds status report, status report, presentation material, technical information report, computer software product, test plan, material and processing digital data package, system/subsystem design description, and technical data package. The period of performance for individual awards will vary between 12 and 36 months with an additional 3 months for final report submittal.

$500M ceiling on any individual award resulting from a white paper. $500M cumulative ceiling on all award(s) resulting from an individual Call. Anticipated multiple awards of varying duration and value.

The technical work will be conducted at no greater than TOP SECRET/ Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI).
