FAA will consider applications on a rolling basis, with the final deadline to submit discretionary grant applications Friday, July 14, 2023 11:59 pm Easten Daylight Time to FAA Regional or Airport District Offices per instructions in the Notice of Funding Availability (NOFO). Dates are subject to possible adjustment based on future legislation. Under 49 U.S.C. 47115, the Secretary of Transportation, through the FAA, will consider projects that are the most appropriate to carry out the statute at any time prior to September 30, 2023.

Eligible applicant categories include: a public agency owning (or leasing from another government entity) a public-use airport, a private entity owning a public use airport, and an Indian tribe or pueblo owning or leasing a public-use airport.
