Air Dominance Broad Agency Announcement (BAA)

Background
The Air Dominance Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) is issued by the Air Force Research Laboratory, Munitions Directorate. It is dedicated to the discovery, development, and integration of warfighting technologies for air, space, and cyberspace forces. The BAA aims to cover predominantly Applied Research (6.2), Advanced Technology Development (6.3), and Advanced Component Development & Prototypes (6.4). This is to address long-term national security needs through innovative research and development efforts.

Grant Details
This BAA is structured in two parts: 1) Basic Open BAA, allowing white papers to be submitted at any time during the open period; 2) Call BAA, where specific research areas will be announced periodically for proposals. The R&D efforts should translate basic research into solutions for broadly defined needs. They should also design and develop state-of-the-art solutions aimed at projected needs and evaluate potential new operational capabilities. Deliverables include final reports, status reports (monthly for contracts, quarterly for assistance instruments), hardware as determined per award, interim reports, and presentation materials. Each white paper submission must include anticipated data rights and restrictions as outlined in FAR Part 27.

Eligibility Requirements
This solicitation is unrestricted; however, small businesses are encouraged to propose on all or any part of this solicitation. Multiple white paper submissions across the 20 research areas are allowed. Foreign-owned firms must comply with foreign disclosure review procedures.

Period of Performance
The BAA will remain open for a period of five years from the posting date or until amended or superseded.

Grant Value
The cumulative amount for awards under this BAA is anticipated not to exceed $750,000,000.
