Air Dominance Broad Agency Announcement(BAA)

Background
The Air Dominance Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) is issued by the Air Force Research Laboratory, Munitions Directorate, located at Eglin AFB, FL. The BAA aims to foster research and development in air dominance technologies, primarily focusing on applied research, advanced technology development, and advanced component development and prototypes.

The overarching goal is to translate basic research into practical solutions that meet national security needs and enhance operational capabilities.

Grant Details
This BAA encompasses two parts:

(1) Basic Open BAA, allowing white papers to be submitted at any time during the open period; and

(2) Call BAA, where specific white paper/proposal calls may be issued by the Government. The BAA covers a wide range of research areas including but not limited to modeling and simulation, innovative aircraft integration technologies, find-fix-target-track technologies, engagement management systems, high velocity fuzing, missile electronics, guidance and control technologies, advanced warhead technologies, missile propulsion technologies, control actuation systems, carriage and release technologies, test and evaluation technologies, and artificial intelligence/autonomy.

Deliverables for awarded contracts may include final reports, status reports (monthly or quarterly), hardware as determined per award specifics, interim reports, and presentation materials.

Eligibility Requirements
This solicitation is unrestricted; however, small businesses are encouraged to participate. Multiple white paper submissions across the various research areas are allowed. Foreign-owned firms must comply with foreign disclosure review procedures.

Period of Performance
The BAA will remain open for 5 years from the posting date or until amended or superseded. Specific periods of performance will be defined in individual awards based on project requirements.

Grant Value
The cumulative amount for awards under this BAA is anticipated not to exceed $750 million.

Place of Performance
The primary location for performance is Eglin AFB in Florida; however, specific project locations may vary based on individual award requirements.
