This Funding Opportunity Announcement seeks research and development projects that will focus on innovative midstream processing technologies for the purification, recovery, individual separation and reduction to metals of high purity rare earth elements and other critical minerals from coal, coal by-products or alternate non-coal-based feedstock materials.
