Nov 2024: RQ Construction LLC, Carlsbad, California, is awarded $177,254,032 for a fixed-price-award-fee modification to a previously awarded contract (N69450-24-C-0004). This modification provides for the incremental funding of construction for the Trident Refit Facility expansion at Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay. Work will be performed in Kings Bay, Georgia, and is expected to be completed by July 2027. The project is incrementally funded with the first increment being allocated at the time of award. Fiscal 2025 military construction (Navy) (MILCON, N) funds in the amount of $83,000,000 will be obligated at time of award and will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The second increment will be funded with fiscal 2026 MILCON, N funds in the amount of $94,254,032. Award of this modification brings the total cumulative value for the contract to $189,702,904. The contract also contains three unexercised options which, if exercised, would increase the cumulative contract value to $192,009,664. This modification provides for the incremental funding of construction on the aircraft maintenance hangar at Naval Air Station Whiting Field. Work will be performed in Milton, Florida, and is expected to be completed by April 2028. The project is incrementally funded with the first increment being allocated at the time of award. Fiscal 2024 military construction (Navy) (MILCON, N) funds in the amount of $45,000,000 will be obligated at time of award and will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The second increment will be funded with fiscal 2026 MILCON, N, in the amount of $92,221,997. Award of this modification brings the total cumulative value for the contract to $137,653,068. The contract also contains two unexercised options which, if exercised, would increase the cumulative contract value to $141,778,997. The original contract was competitively procured via the sam.gov website with two offers received.
