Mar 2019: Huntington Ingalls Industries, Pascagoula, Mississippi, was awarded a $1,471,290,677 fixed-price-incentive modification to previously awarded contract N00024-18-C-2406 for the procurement of the detail design and construction of Landing Platform Dock (LPD) 30, the first LPD 17 Flight II ship which will meet all the capabilities and capacities requirements for the Amphibious Ship Replacement. Work will be performed in Pascagoula, Mississippi (82 percent); Crozet, Virginia (3 percent); Beloit, Wisconsin (2 percent); and New Orleans, Louisiana (2 percent), with other efforts performed at various sites less than one percent throughout the U.S. (11 percent), and is expected to be completed by February 2025. Fiscal 2018 shipbuilding and conversion (Navy) funding in the amount of $1,369,362,790 will be obligated at time of award and will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Apr 2020: Huntington Ingalls Industries, Pascagoula, Mississippi, is awarded a $1,508,730,501 fixed-price-incentive modification to previously awarded contract N00024-18-C-2406 for the procurement of the detail design and construction of Landing Platform Dock (LPD) Class 31 and the LPD 17 Flight II ship. Work will be performed in Pascagoula, Mississippi (82%); Crozet, Virginia (3%); Beloit, Wisconsin (2%); and New Orleans, Louisiana (2%), with other combined efforts performed at various sites throughout the U.S. (11%). Work to be performed is the detail design and construction of LPD-31, the 15th ship in the LPD-17 amphibious transport dock ship class and will meet all the capability and capacity requirements for the amphibious ship replacement. Work is expected to be complete by February 2027. Fiscal 2019 and 2020 shipbuilding and conversion (Navy) funding in the amount of $532,100,000 will be obligated at award and will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Jun 2022: Huntington-Ingalls Industries - Ingalls Shipbuilding, Pascagoula, Mississippi, is awarded a $240,000,000 cost-plus-fixed-fee modification to previously awarded contract N00024-18-C-2406 for the long-lead-time-material with an option for the detailed design and construction of LPD 32. Work will be performed in Pascagoula, Mississippi (35%); Beloit, Wisconsin (15%); Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin (12%); Ayer, Massachusetts (6%); King of Prussia, Pennsylvania (5%); Tulsa, Oklahoma (5%); Brunswick, Georgia (4%); York, Pennsylvania (4%); High Ridge, Missouri (3%); Irvina, Pennsylvania (3%); Sumter, South Carolina (3%); Walpole, Massachusetts (3%); and Muscantine, Iowa (2%), and is expected to be completed December 2024. Fiscal 2022 shipbuilding and conversion (Navy) funds in the amount of $240,000,000 will be obligated at time of award and will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract modification includes options which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of this contract to $1,560,000,013. If all options are exercised, work will continue through March 2031. This sole source contract modification was not competitively procured in accordance with 10 U.S. Code 3204(c)(1), as implemented by Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1 – only one responsible source.
