Aug 2023:
Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station, College Station, Texas, was awarded a cost-reimbursement contract with a ceiling of $70,675,000 for a Space Modular Manipulators Project. This contract provides for the development of a space rated robotic manipulator. Work will be performed in College Station, Texas, and is expected to be completed by Nov. 20, 2028. This contract was a competitive acquisition, and one offer was received. Fiscal 2022 research and development funds in the amount of $1,608,000; and fiscal 2023 research and development funds in the amount of $3,525,959 will be obligated at the time of award. The Air Force Research Lab Space Technology Branch, Kirtland Air Force Base, New Mexico, is the contracting activity (FA9453-23-C-A008).
