Dec 2017: L-3 Communications Vertex Aerospace LLC, Madison, Mississippi, has been awarded a $79,387,452 firm-fixed-price contract for contractor operated and maintained base supply of the Air Education and Training Command fleet of 178 T-1A trainer aircraft.  Work will be performed at Randolph Air Force Base, Texas; Laughlin Air Force Base, Texas; Vance Air Force Base, Oklahoma; Columbus Air Force Base, Mississippi; and Pensacola Naval Air Station, Florida, with an expected completion date of June 7, 2018.  This contract was a competitive acquisition, and three offers were received.  Fiscal 2018 operations and maintenance funds in the amount of $1,502,988 are being obligated at the time of award.  Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Tinker AFB, Oklahoma, is the contracting activity (FA8106-18-C-0001).
