Background
The James J Peters Veterans Affairs Medical Center, located at 130 West Kingsbridge Road, Bronx, New York 10468, is seeking to repair and replace hot water heaters in multiple buildings.
The goal of this contract is to enhance the efficiency of the hot water heating system, which currently does not meet the manufacturer's intended design for its application.
The project involves reconfiguring existing piping and ensuring that a total of four functional hot water heaters are operational across the facility.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:
1. **Building 100 (Main Building)**: Replace two non-functional hot water heaters, including approximately 40-60 feet of 3-inch copper piping and miscellaneous fittings. Refurbish blending valves and replace recirculation bypass valves, condensate outlet traps, and steam supply drip traps. Test coils for tightness and replace if leaking. Ensure minimal disruption to hot water supply during work.
2. **Building 106 (Community Living Center)**: Fix or replace one broken hot water heater while troubleshooting the other. Similar tasks regarding blending valves, traps, and coil testing apply.
3. **Building 105 (Research Building)**: Perform preventative maintenance on one hot water heater to achieve optimal performance, including testing coils and replacing necessary components.
4. All plumbing work must be conducted by a certified master plumber in compliance with FDNY fire safety protocols. A sanitation ticket must be provided for debris removal, and safety measures must be implemented to protect pedestrians during construction.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the James J Peters Veterans Affairs Medical Center across three buildings: Building 100 (Main Building), Building 106 (Community Living Center), and Building 105 (Research Building) located in Bronx, NY.
