MARION Job Order Contract (JOC)   4

Background
The Marion Job Order Contract (JOC) is issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs for the Marion VA Medical Center located in Marion, Illinois. The purpose of this contract is to provide general construction work through an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) framework, allowing for expedited contract awards for various construction requirements.

The contract aims to reduce design work and acquisition lead time while ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and standards.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for all labor, materials, supervision, project management, quality assurance, and safety measures necessary for the successful completion of task orders related to maintenance, repair, and minor construction at the Marion VA Medical Center. Task orders will range from $2,000 to $500,000 with a total aggregate value not exceeding $20 million.

Work includes but is not limited to:
- General construction tasks
- Routine maintenance and repair projects
- Compliance with safety and infection control measures
- Coordination with subcontractors in specialty trades such as mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and sitework. The contractor must also ensure quality control through established procedures and maintain effective communication with the contracting officer (CO) and the designated representative (COR).

Period of Performance
The contract will have a one-year base period with up to four additional one-year option periods, totaling a maximum duration of five years.

Place of Performance
All work will be performed at the Marion VA Medical Center located at 2401 West Main St., Marion, Illinois 62959.
