Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs is issuing this contract for construction services to install fall protection at the Fresno VA Medical Center. The goal of this contract is to enhance safety measures for personnel by providing necessary fall protection systems. The awarded contractor will be responsible for all aspects of the project, including materials, labor, tools, equipment, and project management.

Work Details
The contractor must perform the following tasks as outlined in the Statement of Work (SOW):
1. Demolition of existing guardrails as specified in the construction documents.
2. Installation of new guardrails to protect against fall hazards and installation of roof ladders for maintenance access.
3. Patching and repairing areas disturbed during installation.
4. Specific installations include:
- Building OPC: Approx. 225 LF of galvanized steel pipe railing and four tie-back anchors.
- Building 01: Approx. 189 LF stainless steel bar railing on lobby roof; approx. 605 LF galvanized steel pipe railing on upper roof; approx. 194 LF galvanized steel pipe railing on pharmacy roof.
- Building 02/22: Approx. 357 LF galvanized steel pipe railing and a new roof access ladder at Building 22.
- Building 03: Eleven tie-back anchors and a new roof access ladder.
- Building 24: Various lengths of galvanized and stainless steel railings across multiple roofs.
- Building 31: Approx. 1339 LF of galvanized steel railing on penthouse and main roof.
- Building 32: Approx. 310 LF galvanized steel pipe railing on main roof and additional railings on elevator penthouse and bridge.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this contract is set at 330 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed.

Place of Performance
The construction projects will be performed at the Fresno VA Medical Center located at 2615 East Clinton Avenue, Fresno, California.
