Background
The contract is issued by the VA Marion Healthcare System, specifically for the Marion VA Medical Center in Illinois. Work Details
The project involves multiple construction tasks including:

1. Securing the entire perimeter of the campus with sections of historic and non-historic fencing.
2. Installation of two vehicular gates at primary and secondary entrances, as well as pedestrian gates at both entrances.
3. Integration of video surveillance and illumination along the perimeter fence and gates.
4. Removal of approximately 6,000 linear feet of existing 6-foot high chain link fence on the western, southern, and southeastern perimeters of the campus.

5. The project is divided into several bid items:
- Bid Item I: General construction including all tasks mentioned above.
- Bid Item II: Replace all black coated vinyl steel non-historic fence with non-coated galvanized steel fence.
- Bid Item III: Replace a portion of historic fence with non-historic fence on a specified segment.
- Bid Item IV: Replace specified historic fence pickets with different dimensions.
- Bid Item V: Remove all trenching, underground conduit banks, equipment, devices, and conductors south of pull boxes located east of Building 15.
- Bid Item VI: Remove rollers from all non-historic fences.
- Bid Item VII: Remove all work associated with non-historic fence on the east side of the campus.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this contract is set for 365 calendar days from the issuance of a Notice to Proceed (NTP). The exact start date will be determined at a pre-construction meeting after payment and performance bonds are received.

The construction projects will be performed at the Marion VA Medical Center located at 2401 West Main Street, Marion, IL 62959.
