Background
The contract is issued by the VA Western New York Healthcare System (VAWNYHS) for work at the Buffalo VA Medical Center (VAMC). The mission of this contract is to address the safety and accessibility issues caused by faded parking lot striping and signage, which has led to confusion for patients and visitors.

The goal is to complete necessary re-striping and signage repairs before winter 2024.

Work Details
The contractor will perform parking lot striping, sealing, and signage work as outlined in the Statement of Work (SOW). Key tasks include:
1. Completing pavement painting for driveways, parking lot striping, pedestrian crosswalks, stop bars, turn arrows, curbs, and other areas as detailed in the provided drawings.
2. Sealing over existing lines that are not visible in areas where parking spaces are being re-dimensioned.
3. Cleaning and sealing all existing pavement cracks measuring 1/8" or greater using a hot applied polymeric joint sealant.
4. Re-striping parking lot spaces to match existing layouts and new configurations as shown in the drawings.
5. Power washing and repainting existing yellow curbs within the work area.
6. Applying uniformly painted and reflected pavement markings with true sharp edges after ensuring surfaces are properly cured, dry, and prepared prior to paint application.
7. Installing signs in designated locations according to the included drawing.

Period of Performance
All work must be completed no later than November 1, 2024.
