NRM-CONST - 620A4-23-219 Old Dental Abatement

Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Hudson Valley VA Healthcare System, Castle Point Campus, is seeking to procure Asbestos Abatement services for the renovation of the Engineering and EMS Shop in Building 16.
The goal of this contract is to safely remove asbestos and lead-containing materials from the specified area to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all professional services necessary for the completion of asbestos abatement within the designated area. This includes:
- Conducting abatement according to design drawings and specifications.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant safety codes and regulations including NFPA, OSHA, and VA Design Guides.
- Utilizing licensed laboratories as required by governing agencies.
- Securing facility ID badges for contractor employees from the VA Police Department.
- Completing all tasks related to field investigations, design reviews, pre-construction meetings, interim and final inspections, and closeout documentation preparation.
- Using the VISN 2 Autodesk Build Construction management platform for project management and communication.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for design shall be 90 days from Notice to Proceed (NTP).

The place of performance for this contract is at the VA Hudson Valley Healthcare System, Castle Point Campus, located at 41 Castle Point Road, NY 12590.
