Background
The National Park Service (NPS) is seeking quotations for construction services to replace the flooring in Mission 66 Residence 13 at Salinas Pueblo Missions National Monument. This project aims to address water damage caused by a plumbing leak, which has affected multiple rooms within the residence. The NPS intends to conduct this acquisition using simplified acquisition procedures.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and construction services necessary to complete the following tasks:
- Remove approximately 1,156 sq. ft. of existing carpet and flooring, including baseboards and thresholds.
- Cleanup of disturbed asbestos-containing materials and installation of new vinyl plank flooring over existing asbestos-containing tiles.
- Encapsulate existing asbestos-containing wall texture with new paint.

Specific tasks include:
a) Careful removal of all remaining carpet, padding, thresholds, and any other materials required for new flooring installation while ensuring no disturbance to asbestos-containing materials.
b) Removal of water heater in the utility room for reinstallation after flooring work is completed.
c) Replacement of water-damaged baseboards and plywood floor decking as needed.
d) Thorough cleaning and air quality testing post-demolition to ensure no asbestos dust remains in the house.
e) Installation of moisture barriers and/or flooring underlayment to encapsulate asbestos-containing tiles.

Period of Performance
The contract performance period is from May 12, 2025, to July 25, 2025.
