Restore Historic Masonry at Glacier National Park

Background
This acquisition is in support of West Glacier Headquarters area of Glacier National Park to make repairs to historic masonry chimneys of buildings in the West Glacier Headquarters area. Many masonry chimney structures are in poor condition and in need of repairs including rebuilding, brick replacement, mortar repointing, replacing mortar caps, and flashing or counterflashing replacement. Masonry repairs will preserve key architectural elements that contribute to the historic appearance of these buildings. This is a 100% Total Small Business Set Aside.

Work Details
There are three Contract Line Items (CLINs) for this project. CLIN #1 is the base bid item, and CLIN #2 and CLIN #3 will be awarded based on price at the discretion of NPS. Each CLIN shall include all preparation, mobilization, facilities, management, supervision, labor, subcontracts, equipment, materials, tools, testing, commissioning, training, permitting, insurance, bonds, taxes, and other costs incurred to complete the requirement as defined under Section 3.0 Scope of Work.
Specific work/tasks include:
- CLIN #1 Masonry Repairs - generally, these masonry chimneys are in extremely poor condition and require extensive work for preservation
- Bid Option CLIN #2 Masonry Repairs - generally, these masonry chimneys are in somewhat poor condition and require a moderate amount of work for preservation
- Bid Option CLIN #3 Masonry Repairs – generally, these masonry chimneys are in good condition and require minor work for preservation.
