SYNOPSIS: Repair and upgrade HVAC VAV boxes, Jean Lafitte National Park and Preserve, Prairie Acadian Cultural Building.
THIS IS A PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE ONLY. The National Park Service, Interior Region 2, South Atlantic Gulf, West Contracting Office intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) to replace terminal units and hot water coils for the existing HVAC system at the Prairie Acadian Cultural Building, located in Eunice, Louisiana, Jean Lafitte National Park and Preserve. Additive items include test and balance with report and replacing 3-way valves. A detailed Statement of Work will be provided with the solicitation documents.
PUBLICIZING: The official solicitation and its attachments will be issued on or about July 11, 2022 (date is subject to change) and will be posted to the SAM.gov website at https://sam.gov/content/home
This procurement will be 100% set-aside for small businesses. The NAICS code is 238220- Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning Contractors. The small business standard is $16.5 million.
ESTIMATED MAGNITUDE: Between $25,000 and $100,000
TYPE OF PROCUREMENT: It is anticipated that a firm-fixed price construction contract will be awarded requiring submission of both technical, past performance and price proposal. The Government intends to award (1) one contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation, will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. Payment and Performance Bonds and Bid Guarantee will be required.
Contract is expected to be awarded by August 2022. Federal Construction Wage Rates for Louisiana, Saint Landry County will apply.
SAM REGISTRATION: All interested offers MUST have an active vendor record in SAM.gov and be a small business under the identified NAICS code 238220 and NOT have any exclusion such as delinquent federal debt or debarment.
SITE VISIT: Only one (1) site visit is scheduled for this action. A date, time, and meeting location will be announced in the solicitation. Offerors are highly encouraged to attend the scheduled site visit to inspect the site and to ensure they fully understand the requirement and conditions that may affect the cost of the project, specifications, and performance.
Offers will be due approximately 30 days after issuance of solicitation unless extended by amendment. This notice is for informational purposes only and is not a request for submission of offers. The Government is not obligated to issue a solicitation because of this notice.
