Garage Door Replacement in Support of Yosemite   3

Background
The National Park Service (NPS), part of the U.S. Department of the Interior, is issuing this solicitation for the Yosemite National Park - Elderberry and Hogdon Garage Door Replacement Project. The project aims to replace two damaged garage doors at Yosemite National Park and the Yosemite El Portal Maintenance Facility. The operational capability of these doors is critical for the functioning of emergency services, particularly for the ambulance crew at Hodgdon Meadows.

Work Details
The contractor is required to perform the following tasks:

1. Remove and dispose of the existing garage doors at both locations.

2. Install one 16' x 7' residential garage door at El Portal, California, and one 20' x 12' heavy-duty roll-up door at Hodgdon Ambulance Bay in Yosemite National Park.

3. Provide all necessary mobilization, labor, supervision, materials, equipment, transportation, site rehabilitation, clean-up, and demobilization.

Specific requirements for the heavy-duty roll-up door include:
- Construction from heavy-duty steel with a grey finish.
- Installation of an electric operator and safety hardware including photo eyes on guides and a safety guard on the bottom edge.

Period of Performance
The contractor shall begin performance within 10 calendar days after receiving the award and complete it within 90 calendar days after receiving notice to proceed.

Place of Performance
The construction projects will be performed at two locations:

1) El Portal, California (9747 Elderberry Lane) for the residential garage door installation;

2) Hodgdon Meadows in Yosemite National Park (Building 6123, 9000 Hillside Loop) for the heavy-duty roll-up door installation.
