Background
The National Cemetery Administration honors veterans with a final resting place and lasting memorials that commemorate their service to our Nation. National cemeteries are national shrines. The standards of maintenance, appearance and operational procedures performed by the Contractor at this cemetery shall reflect this nation's concern for those interned there.

Work Details
The contractor is required to raise, realign, and clean upright headstones and renovate turf with sod at the Calverton National Cemetery. The work shall be performed in strict accordance with all terms, conditions, specifications, schedules, and drawings.
The contractor is responsible for coordinating work with the COR to ensure that burial activities take precedence over construction activities. Additionally, the contractor must adhere to fire safety regulations, maintain operations and storage areas as per guidelines, and execute work in a manner that interferes as little as possible with work being done by others. The contractor is also responsible for utilities services and must submit a request for any interruptions in advance. Furthermore, the contractor is required to execute all work in a sequential manner to minimize overall disruption to the cemetery and provide daily written accurate reports detailing the section and range of graves in that specific week.
