Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs, National Cemetery Administration is issuing this solicitation for the repair of a pole barn at Camp Butler National Cemetery located in Springfield, IL. The goal of this contract is to ensure the structural integrity and functionality of the pole barn, which is essential for cemetery operations. This project is set aside for 100% Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) and aims to enhance the facilities used in maintaining the cemetery.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all management, supervision, labor, equipment, materials, parts, tools, etc., required to complete construction services to repair approximately twenty (20) pole barn trusses. The work includes:

1. Inspecting the site and submitting an 'After Inspection Report' detailing findings and recommendations.

2. Converting the fan truss ceiling to a cathedral ceiling by constructing a load-bearing wall and ensuring compliance with specifications.

3. Replacing damaged support columns with new Tiger® 3 ½” OD, Schedule 40 Jack Posts and increasing the span from 16’ to 32’.

4. Removing unused support column foundations and filling voids with concrete.

5. Installing steel bollards for added support.

The contractor must also coordinate utility shutdowns with the COR and ensure minimal disruption to cemetery operations while performing daily clean-ups and proper waste disposal.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon award and is expected to be completed within a specified timeframe that will be determined post-award.
