Background
The Long Island National Cemetery, located at 2040 Wellwood Avenue, Farmingdale, New York, 11735, is in need of facility renovation, improvements, and repairs. The project is under the Department of Veterans Affairs and falls under the National Cemetery Administration's Office of Construction Management. The goal of the contract is to provide construction for facility renovation, improvements, and repairs as described in the Scope of Work and included construction documents.

Work Details
The scope of work includes various construction tasks such as committal shelters, public restroom/comfort station, columbarium plaza, irrigation well, pump house, cemetery signage, section markers, maintenance building, office building conversion to Public Information Center, cortege lanes, bronze plaques, director’s lodge, road/curb/stormwater work, and tree work. The contractor is responsible for providing all labor, materials, tools and equipment necessary for the construction project. Additionally, the contractor must coordinate with cemetery staff and the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) for staging area location and phasing plans.

Period of Performance
The construction schedule is set for 18 months or 550 calendar days from the notice to proceed.

Place of Performance
The construction projects will be performed at Long Island National Cemetery in Farmingdale on Long Island in Suffolk County, New York.
