Repair Shoreline Barriers at Smiling Cove and Outer Cove, American Memorial Par   2

Background
The National Park Service (NPS), Department of Interior (DOI), Denver Service Center (DSC), will be soliciting proposals from all interested businesses having the capability to perform the work described. The purpose of this project is to repair the failed concrete mat shoreline protection along the west causeway of the Outer Cove Marina as well as the eroded earthen shoreline at the end of the east causeway of the Outer Cove Marina. The original concrete mat protection was constructed roughly 30 years ago.

Work Details
Project Elements will include: Erosion control and water quality protection measures. Completely removing approximately 730 feet of shoreline slope protection along the West Causeway and 100 feet of degraded slope along the East Causeway including existing rock, filter fabric, soil, concrete mattress, trees, abandoned fire water system, bollards, and other related miscellaneous items within the limits of removal.
Reconstruction of the slope, affected roadway, slope protection, and landscaping along the shoreline of the West and East Causeways located within the American Memorial Park, and the addition of a new concrete sidewalk along the West Causeway. The new rock revetment will be installed using native armor stone and underlayer rock. The project will be constructed and completed under a single prime contract.
