ISRO Ranger IV Vessel Construction - Industry Day   2

Background
The National Park Service (NPS) is hosting an Industry Day event for the Vessel Construction Management and construction of the Ranger IV vessel for Isle Royale National Park (ISRO), located in Houghton, MI.

This event aims to engage potential contractors, allowing them to interact directly with NPS representatives to gain insights into the upcoming solicitation and provide input on project requirements. The goal is to foster collaboration and understanding between NPS and industry stakeholders.

Work Details
The contract involves Vessel Construction Management Services for the construction and delivery of a new passenger and cargo vessel, Ranger IV, which will replace the current M/V Ranger III.

The Ranger IV will operate between Isle Royale and the park's headquarters in Houghton, MI. Key specifications include:
- Dimensions: 182.5’ L x 36' B x 18' D with a design draft of 9 ft.
- Capacity: Over 3,500 square feet of cargo space for transporting various goods including power boats, refrigerated foods, general cargo, and construction materials.
- Design features include integrated diesel tanks and deck crane capacity for fuel transport containers.
- Compliance with USCG and ABS certification requirements, designed for unrestricted service under the 2024 ABS Marine Vessel Rules.
- The contractor must have experience procuring vessels of similar size and complexity, using domestic sources where practicable.

Period of Performance
The anticipated period of performance is approximately 24 months from the date of award.
