Background
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Region 1 JAO, located in Lakewood, Colorado, has issued a Request for Proposal for the construction of a new 9,000 square foot office building and associated site utilities and improvements at the Huron National Wildlife Refuge in Beadle County, South Dakota. The project involves the construction of a new HQ building, including a Visitor Contact area & Office spaces.

Work Details
The work includes earthwork, site utilities, exterior concrete flatwork, concrete foundations and floor slabs, structural insulated panel walls with siding, shop-fabricated wood truss roof, doors and windows, interior framed partitions and finishes, plumbing, HVAC system, and electrical power and lighting systems.
The work is anticipated to commence in the spring of 2023 based on weather conditions. The contractor is required to provide all labor, material, and equipment necessary to fulfill the requirements of the Specifications and Drawings. A site visit is required for offers to be considered.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for the contract is from October 3rd, 2022 to May 1st, 2024.

Place of Performance
The construction projects will be performed at the Huron National Wildlife Refuge in Beadle County, South Dakota.
