GATE 317659 Apply Maintenance Treatment to Atlantic Avenue and Hartshorne Avenue

Background
The National Park Service (NPS), part of the United States Department of the Interior, is conducting market research through this Sources Sought Notice for GATE 317659 and 317660. The purpose is to gather information on interested businesses and their qualifications to develop an acquisition strategy for preventative maintenance treatment on Atlantic Avenue and Hartshorne Avenue at Gateway National Recreation Area, New Jersey.

The NPS aims to ensure that the park remains open during construction while minimizing visitor impact.

Work Details
The project involves pavement improvements on sections of Hartshorne Drive and Atlantic Drive. Specific tasks include:

- Segments of 4” mill and asphalt overlay
- Segments of ultra-thin overlay
- Crack fill and patching
- Striping/pavement markings
- Replacement of gates
- Traffic loops
- Guardrails
- Concrete curbs
- Bluestone curbs.

The contractor will also be responsible for traffic control, erosion control, and small segments of topsoil placement and seeding along the roadway edges. Protective measures must be implemented to ensure the surrounding area remains undisturbed during construction.

Period of Performance
The anticipated period of performance is 235 calendar days, which includes potential weather shutdowns and seasonal/other mandated shutdowns throughout the construction season. Winter construction may also be required.
