Residents Apartments Ashevile VAMC

INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE: The Department of Veteran Affairs intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to Barrington Village LLC. This order will be for resident housing that shall not exceed a proximity greater than ten (10) miles to the Charles George VA Medical Center Asheville NC. The contractor shall furnish five (5) separate apartments. 5 apartments shall be a minimum of two (2) bedroom, with an included bathroom, full kitchen (range, oven, microwave, refrigerator, and dishwasher), and a separate living room and a minimum of 950 square feet. Rental shall include furnishing full-size washer/dryer, TV (minimum 25-inch flat screen), bedroom furniture, living room furniture, kitchen/dining room furniture and basic kitchenware and each rental shall include water. Berrington Village Apartments has been identified as the only vendor who can provided the needed accommodations and service needs. This proposed contract action is for services for which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all expressions of interest received within three (3) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. Interested contractors may identify their capability to provide the services prescribed within this notice and should provide sufficient data for the government to determine them as a comparable alternative to the intended source by sending capability statements in reference to this requirement no later than 1500 PM EST, Sept 15, 2023 to: warren.pennil@va.gov.
