Background
The Mission Installation Contracting Command - Knox intends to issue a Request for Quotations (RFQ) to provide boxed meals for applicants processing through the Brooklyn NY Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS), located at 116 White Avenue, Brooklyn, New York 11252.

This contract is aimed at supporting the mission of the Department of Defense (DoD) by ensuring that Armed Forces applicants receive proper meals during their processing. The contract will be performed on a DoD installation and requires compliance with various health and safety regulations.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide boxed meals for Armed Forces applicants processing at the New York MEPS. Key tasks include: preparing meals in a state/local licensed facility, transporting and serving boxed meals when called for by the KO or authorized representative, ensuring all food is from sanitarily approved sources as per Army Regulation (AR) 40-657, and maintaining compliance with health and sanitation standards.

The contractor must also ensure that all employees complete required training for access to government installations, including AT Level I Training and OPSEC Training. Meals are to be served Monday through Friday, excluding legal holidays and training days, with additional meals on up to 28 Saturdays annually and potentially two extra meals per month for late processing days.

Each boxed meal must include specific items such as sandwiches, chips, cookies, fruit, beverages, and condiments. The contractor is responsible for cleaning the dining area after service and ensuring all food items are transported in compliance with health regulations.

Period of Performance
The period of performance is from May 1, 2025 or date of contract award, whichever is later, through April 30, 2026, with two one-year option periods.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at the New York Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS) located at 116 White Avenue, Brooklyn, New York 11252.
