Visitors Center Security Services

This is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts or request for quotations. The purpose of this notice is to obtain the following information:

1. The availability and capability of qualified resources;
2. Whether they are a small or large business relative to their size classification under the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for the proposed acquisition 561612 -Security Guards and Patrol Services with a small business size standard of $29M.

Requirement Description:

The Great Lakes St. Lawrence Seaway Development Corporation (GLS or Corporation) is seeking sources for small businesses qualified to perform professionally trained, unarmed security guard personnel services.

GLS is a wholly owned U.S. Government corporation within the U.S. Department of Transportation which owns and operates that portion of the St. Lawrence Seaway in U.S. territorial waters between Lake Ontario and Montreal, Quebec. GLS's mission is to facilitate the safe and efficient passage of commercial vessels through the Seaway which includes maintenance, repair and/or replacement of structures and facilities.

Security support services are required for the entry point of a federally operated Visitor Center located in Massena, NY. The average number of visitors is estimated to be 300-500 per day. Security services will include, but are not limited to, roaming patrol and security bag checks. Hours of operation will vary seasonally between 80 to 154 hours, up to seven days per week.

Submission:

Interested firms shall submit the following:

1. Name of Company; Company Address; Point of Contact, with Name, Phone Number and Email; NAICS Code, Unique Entity Identification Number (UEI), CAGE Code, and Socio-Economic Size Status (Large/Small Business/HubZone/8(a)/Woman Owned Small Business/Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business/etc.)
2. Provide a capability statement that lists three projects similar in scope, completed in the last 3 years. These projects may involve armed or unarmed security. Brief descriptions of the relevant projects shall be provided along with contact references for each project. (Not to exceed 3 pages)
3. Respond via e-mail to purchasing@dot.gov. The email subject line must contain Visitor Center Sources Sought 6923G524SS0002.

Verbal questions will not be accepted and GLS will respond to written questions at its discretion. All communications must be sent via email to purchasing@dot.gov.

Respondents to this notice should not anticipate feedback with regards to their submission other than acknowledgement of receipt. GLS reserves the right to review late submissions but makes no guarantee that they will be reviewed.

Results of this Notice will not be provided.
