Vegetation Abetment: Columbia SSC, Kirksville WC & Keukok, IA Airport

Background
The solicitation is for vegetation abatement services at Columbia, MO System Support Center outlying facilities, Kirksville, MO Work Center outlying facilities, and Keokuk, IA Airport. The work involves season-long weed control for numerous facilities throughout the SSC, consisting of approximately 669,247 square feet of area. The FAA will not be responsible for any damage to crops resulting from the weed abatement treatment. The services will include initial application to be applied by the beginning of April and a second application to be applied in late summer, weather permitting. All herbicides used must be EPA approved and safe for mammals, noncorrosive, and nonflammable. Contractor employees must be escorted while inside FAA facilities.

Work Details
The scope of work includes weed control services at various sites listed in the document. The contractor is required to provide all equipment, materials, labor, and supplies to perform the services as per the Scope of Work and applicable wage rates. The work also involves providing copies of all Material Safety Data Sheets for the herbicides used and ensuring that all personnel who apply herbicides are state trained and licensed. Period of Performance
The period of performance for the contract is from 05/01/2023 to 09/30/2027 with multiple option periods extending up to 09/30/2027.
