Background
The solicitation is for the provision of various medical services (Dental Hygienist, Dental Assistant, Pharmacy Technician, and Radiologic Technologist) at the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico. The contract is an indefinite delivery/requirements type contract with firm fixed pricing.

Work Details
The contractor will provide dental services including restorative, endodontics, oral surgery, periodontics, prosthodontics, and routine examinations. Duties include chair-side assistance to the dentist, clerical duties, maintaining dental records on inmates, providing oral health educational programs to inmates, and assisting in providing prevention services. The contractor will also be responsible for cleaning and sterilizing instruments, processing biomedical hazardous waste, and operating dental equipment. The services will be performed on-site at MDC Guaynabo in a clinical setting. The contractor will work Monday through Friday between 7:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., with an estimated 1,872 sessions per year for each service.

Period of Performance
The contract includes a base period from May 1, 2022 through April 30, 2023, with four possible 12-month option years renewal and optional six-month extension at the unilateral discretion of the government.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at Metropolitan Detention Center located at 652 Road 28, Guaynabo, Puerto Rico 00965.
